I was thrilled that the new series I have been working on “Unseen Beauty” won First Place in the Professional Nature Category of the 19th Pollux Awards. The series was on exhibit in December at the Fotonostrum Gallery in Barcelona, Spain.

Finding Beauty in the Unseen
Susan has always loved dabbling in black and white infrared photography. She Is currently working on a new project of botanical infrared images named “Unseen Beauty” where she captures smaller scenes often overlooked by most who are transfixed on more majestic scenes. Whether it be a subject in a gully in New Zealand while beautiful ferns tower overhead or some brush floating in the water while capturing the gorgeous fall bayou in Texas from a boat, with infrared photography Susan can pull out graphic beauty in texture and tones that are often overlooked.
