Susan will do a presentation on travel photography. During her presentation, she aims to share some tips and tricks for framing, capturing, and processing travel photos.  At times, she will relay some embarrassing and funny stories behind her examples.  While Susan loves to focus on people, she realizes that in order to truly capture the essence of a location she much also capture the locale in general: the nature; the landscape; the wildlife, and even the food.  Additional insight will be provided about how natural light and/or flash influence all of the above.  Susan Onysko is a travel photographer who has devoted the last decade to the art of capturing evocative stories from some of the most remote and extreme locations of our world.

Cosplay 50: The United States of Cosplay

During the presentation, I will explain what drew me into this genre of photography and how I decided the scope of this deeply personal project. It is always a fun talking about how the worlds of travel and cosplay photography collided. I will also share some of our favorite gear to use, lighting techniques and unforgettable experiences we have had along the way while photographing the most intriguing people in the world!

This will be state number 21 for us! It looks like they are also having a pet cosplay contest, can’t wait to see who we find here!

We are so excited to be attending this one!  They host the ECCC Western Championship of Cosplay so we know we will find some amazing cosplays there. Over 95,000 people attended in 2018.  Did I mention we are excited?  We will be in Room 302 on the Cosplay Floor.

I will be judging at Akron Camera Club’s monthly competition on Wednesday. Akron Camera Club was the first camera club that I joined when I first started my career in photography. I am looking forward to seeing all of the photos as well finding out what everyone is up to!

I will be judging at Erie Shores Photography Club on April 19th. The competition will feature Abstract Architecture, Leading Lines and Macro images.

I will be open an hour before the show opens and close an hour after closing. I will be walking the show floor to set up 30 min appointment times with cosplayers. This is the one year anniversary of photographing cosplayers. I started at this one last year. I can’t wait to see some familiar and somewhat familiar faces!
