Bangor Comic & Toy Con 2023 Recap

Our crew had an amazing time in Bangor. I love Maine in general and as our winters get less snowy here in Ohio there’s a possibility that one day I may live there. We visited the former home of Stephen King and photographed a few horror-based Cosplayers including an amazing Pennywise from It. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Angelo’s Pizzeria and visited with Wyatt, a lawyer friend from Sue’s past career who moved to Maine.

We brought almost twenty Cosplayers into our studio, including some that have been on my wish list for quite a while such as the Sovereign High Priestess Ayesha from Guardians of the Galaxy. There were also a couple of surprise Cosplays that should have been on my list like Dongbaek from Limbus Company and Columbia from Rocky Horror Picture Show.

There was a little extra time to play with some creative ideas such as a star filter which makes sequins project starbursts when lit just right. I also brought some mylar sheets to put on the floor which reflected the backgrounds and added a really cool extra element to a few of our photos. Every Cosplayer was so kind, and I want to say a special thank you to the “Con Mom” for knitting me an adorable hat!!
