Emperor Penguins Recap Part 2

The Penguins and EMPS CAMP was truly amazing on all fronts. Our biggest adventure to date by far! We walked a mile to and from the emperor penguin colony multiple times per day pulling a sled with all of our gear and necessities. We were a bit chilly our first night camping but quickly figured out what was needed to stay warm – layers, toe warmers, booties, hot water bottle, etc.) A week of no showers was new for me, thank goodness for body wipes. And then there was that pee bottle… it was a bit intimidating at first but like a faithful old friend in the end.
